"It is important the community continues to practice prevention measures outlined by the CDC and Wyoming Department of Health guidelines," reads a media release from the Sheridan County Commissioners. "We are all in this together."

Sheridan County School Districts 1, 2, and 3 will continue normal operations with minor adjustments to large gatherings such as concerts. Their guidance has come from State Superintendent Jillian Balow and Dr. Alexia Harris, Wyoming’s state health officer. Their decisions were based on the recommendations and guidelines from the CDC and WDH.

The commissioners encourage the public to "keep things in perspective" and follow precautionary guidelines from medical professionals (link above).

Testing for COVID-19 is continuing locally, but available test kits are still limited.

The commissioners are asking that the public not overwhelm our healthcare professionals by asking for tests if they are not at risk.  For more information, please contact Sheridan County Public Health, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 307-672-5169, and follow the voice prompts.
